EDITORIAL STANDARDS
What this is. DEGEN WIRE is a Drudge-style news wire serving the cross-vertical degenerate — sports betting, sports cards, and crypto, in three columns on one page. We aggregate stories from 60+ trusted sources every 15 minutes and surface the ones our editor judges most relevant.
Sources. All headlines link to a story page on DEGEN WIRE that points to the original publisher (CoinDesk, Decrypt, The Block, Action Network, Beckett, Polymarket, Kalshi, Google News searches, and many others). We do not republish full articles — only headline plus a short editor summary. The original publisher always gets the click and the credit.
Curation. Headlines are scored by an AI ranking pass (Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5) trained on a Drudge-style rubric. Items that score below the threshold are dropped. Items scoring high are reviewed by our editor and either approved or rejected. The editor also rewrites headlines into Drudge cadence (capital-letter punch, em dashes, dollar amounts) where the original is too soft.
Independence. The editor of DEGEN WIRE is anonymous by design. No bylines on individual stories, no public face. This keeps the curation honest — no industry favors, no source-trade IOUs, no cozying up to operators. The wire is judged on whether the picks are sharp, not on who picked them.
What we don't do. No paid placements. No sponsored headlines. No affiliate slots in the wire (yet). No coverage trades with any publisher. No predicting markets — we surface what's happening, not telling you what to bet.
Corrections. If a headline is wrong, misleading, or unfairly framed: email tips@degenwire.com. We unpublish or rewrite within hours during operating hours. Substantive corrections get a note in the published archive.
